Chase Van Ameyde is a 2024 SS/RHP, 1B, 3B, MIF with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Lake Orion, MI who attends Brother Rice. XL frame with long, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from upright and staggered stance, controls length well, consistent barrel skills with good timer in lower half, bat speed stands out, flashes ability to really create leverage, serious righthanded power projection here. Primary infielder, tends to wait back a bit, good fundamental footwork with clean hands out front, good movement patterns laterally, clocked up to 88 mph on throws across. Also threw 88 mph on outfield throws. Pitched as well, quick arm with multiple slot deployment, switches from high 3/4 to near sidearm, fastball up to 89 from overtop and 87 from underneath, good running life on pitch from down low, slider primarily comes from down low with some sweep to it, easy to continue projecting velocity and uncomfortable at-bats here.
