Diego Josué Cruz is a 2025 SS/2B/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Central Pointe Christian. Cruz immediately showed off the speed tool to start his event, posting a 6.69 sixty time. That directly translated to the IF, where the '25 prospect displayed evident bounce to the footwork with direct routes to the baseball. He flashed solid carry across the diamond up to 88 mph, a number that could see additional ticks as the frame fully develops. On the offensive end, the left handed hitter started from a wider slightly open base with a simple stride into impact. He created consistent contact on the barrel to all parts of the field with the ability to generate backspin on the baseball. Posted an exit velo of 88 mph. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
