Radek Birkholz is a 2021 RHP/SS with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Valor Christian. Strong mature physical build, especially in the lower half. Side step delivery with some hip turn at the top, stays tall on his back side, compact arm action that hides the ball well in back, 3/4's arm slot coming through, lands closed with his front side and works across his body. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, strike thrower with his fastball with good late running life. Curveball is a quality pitch with tight spin and some bite, 11/5 shape and occasional depth, throws it for strikes as well, will shorten it up with intent at times for a different look. Sells, the change up with good arm speed. Has the full arsenal and throws strikes. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
