Avery Shiflett is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Calhoun, GA who attends Calhoun. Long and lean athletic build, very projectable physically. Works from the stretch with a high leg raise start, has some backward lean over the rubber, gets down the mound on line, hides the ball very well in his arm stroke, extended 3/4's arm slot, creates angle especially when getting to his arm side, lots of deception. Fastball topped out 83 mph with lots of running life, lots more velocity there as he matures physically. Curveball is a very promising pitch, high spin rates with good hard biting action and 1/7 shape. Lots of positive ingredients already in place. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Worked out at first base and in the outfield. Left handed hitter, has an uphill swing with a big back shoulder dip, pretty short to the ball with his hands, some barrel control. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Georgia.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
