Ryan Carvajal is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-7 149 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Sickles. Sturdy compact build. Operates from generic windup with slight lean with chest over the moderate lift, keeps it compact and repeatable. The arm stroke is on the shorter side with three-quarters release. Fastball plays fairlly true. Frequently mixed in the breaking ball, tipped it with a pre-hook right out of the glove. The offering did however show good depth and was repeatably spun to the appropriate location. Right handed hitter, path works direct to contact. Simpistic approach with minimal stride or load. Made some slashing contact to the right side but could use polish as a whole. At first base, he waits back to the fielding point and keeps his feet under his as he shuffles into the throw. Fed the front end of the 3-6-3 with accuracy. 8.07 60-yard.
