Dylan Ackerman is a 2025 1B/RHP, 3B, UT with a 6-0 179 lb. frame from Daphne, AL who attends Daphne. Ran a 7.80 second sixty. Primary first baseman with a medium build. Waits back on the ball on the infield receiving it with firm hands before working into a longer gather while gaining ground toward the bag. Showed average arm strength across the diamond with a shorter arm action making accurate throws. At first base the hands play out front gathering away from the body as he showed some feel for the actions around the bag on the double play feeds. Works from a three-quarters arm slot on the mound with a clean delivery maintaining his line to the plate. The fastball shows flashes of arm side sinking action in the mid to upper 70's with spin rates in the 2100 RPM range. The slider has some young traits with occasional bite in the upper 60's and 1900 RPM on the spin rate. Did show an ability to kill the spin on the changeup with some fading actions a third pitch. Left-handed hitter, starts with a slight open stance doing a nice job of getting back to even with a standard leg lift. Creates some leverage at the point of contact with his ability to to hold the bat angle well through the zone working best from the middle of the field to the pull side. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
