Ethan McClain is a 2021 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson. Ran a 6.85 60 yard dash. Tooled up player that plays with a lot of athleticism. Solid run tool especially. On the mound, throws from a high 3/4 slot. Short arm action and runs his fastball up to 81 MPH. He has two different breaking balls, a 12/6 shaped curveball and a 10-4 shaped slider. Likes to work low in the zone and generates a lot of ground balls. Solid reactions in the field with crisp body control. Operates very smoothly and throws carry well in the outfield. At the plate, shows solid bat to ball skills. Slight hitch in his set up and shows good juice to pullside. Utilizes his lower half well. He was named to the Sunshine Texas 18u Top Prospects' list.
