Liam McGrew is a 2025 3B/RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Ralston Valley. McGrew works from a physically built frame with evident strength throughout. As a primary 3B, he displayed softness to the hands with CIF actions, flashing some carry across the diamond up to 80 mph. Footwork and lateral range has room to expand in the future for the '25 prospect. On the mound, McGrew worked exclusively from the stretch displaying a stomach high leg lift and effectively creating push off down the mound, ultimately topping out at 81 mph from a compact arm action and 3/4 slot. He hid the ball well, flashing depth and late bite on an 11-5 shaped breaker that effectively recorded outs. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open stance with some barrel wrap, displaying compact hand speed through the zone to generate solid line drive impact back up the middle. He repeated the stroke well, posting an exit velo of 82 mph. Ran a 7.56 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
