Chase Ruben is a 2024 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends Carrboro. Solid build with a long, lean frame and wiry strength to go with plenty of time to add physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.12 seconds. Primary position RHP, working from the 1B side of the rubber using a small side step to high knee lift well loaded at balance. High hand break into a deep inline arm path into high 3/4 arm angle. Rides deeply into back leg working down the mound and creates good front side direction. True FB in the zone with good command, showing velocity up to 71 mph. Secondary offering was a rolling breaker with mostly vertical shape in the mid-50's. Secondary 1B, bouncing around good on his feet getting into good position. Late with the glove but he handled the ball well. Also reps from the OF, using one hand gather with glove out front. Working through the ball and uses big crow hop to transition. RHH working from an open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow. Toe tap trigger to create his energy and timing. Steep path with the barrel and showing looseness out front. Emerging overall power. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
