Marcello Rosanova is a 2024 SS/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Chincoteague, VA who attends Chincoteague. Solid, well built frame with a bit of projection left and current athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Primary position IF, moving really well on his feet with some first step quickness and proper angles on his reps. Presents glove softly out front and secures the ball with ease. Arm strength is apparent, really let a couple go across the diamond up to 86 mph. Took reps in the OF as well, moving quickly to the ball and working deliberately in transition to throw. Spins the ball backwards with good carry and up to 83 mph back to the infield. LHH with an even setup and quiet overall mechanical approach. Lower handset, loads them well and really turns the barrel through impact. Pull oriented approach with some loud, lofted contact and hit a couple off the fence in batting practice segment. Offensive type infielder with a lot of intrigue going forward. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
