Brayden Keller is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Branchburg, NJ who attends Somerville. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, bends at waist, clean funnel into a longer arm action, shows carry on throws along with accuracy, can shorten actions moving forward away from the bag. Also pitched, works exclusively out of the stretch, short leg lift into balance point, shows some present arm speed through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, maintained velocity and worked around the zone with short running life; slider shows firmness through the zone up to 70 mph, will continue to refine a consistent feel for the pitch. Velocity projects with added strength. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open and wide base at the plate with a high back elbow and tight hand set. Quick hips moving into swing, handsy stroke, occasionally gets downward with swing path Creates consistent contact with some line drive contact and carry off of the barrel. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
