Colton Duerling is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends John F Kennedy. Medium, athletic build with well-proportioned strength present and projection remaining. Primary shortstop, takes quick routes to the baseball and works through it with urgency. Shows the glove on-time and funnels the ball cleanly to his chest. Has the ability to adjust slots on the run. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 83 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a simple, repeatable operation with a low three-quarters release. Generates easy arm speed as he works directly down the slope. Fastball showed arm-side run and some sink, ultimately peaking at 78 mph. Mixed in a tight slider with spin up to 2407 rpm. Left-handed hitter, starts in a wide, slightly open stance with an even hand set-up. Utilizes a reverse stride for timing before working into an on-plane stroke. Maintains posture over the baseball and strength through impact. Has plenty of present quickness in the hands with good strength in the barrel. Produced consistent line drive impact to the pull-side during batting practice. Posted an exit velocity of 88 mph. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 Midwest High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
