2022 National Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Avery Oravetz is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Wildwood, MO who attends Lafayette. Medium athletic build with very good present strength. Two-way prospect. 7.20 runner in the sixty, moves well through the ball in the outfield with smooth and fluid actions, gets good carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright square stance with a low foot raise hanging load, gets coiled and explodes hard with his strong lower half into contact, very good bat speed with some lift out front, can drive the ball to all fields with some pull side lift and power, like the aggressiveness in his approach. Also pitched, has drop and drive mechanics and sinks into his hips well, works from the stretch, compact arm action, has energy through to release but holds together his mechanics well. Was aggressive attacking early in the count with a mid-80's fastball that topped out at 86 mph with good riding life. Curveball was a quality second pitch with power and sharp late action. Good student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
