Carter Lund is a 2024 C/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Cambridge, WI who attends Cambridge. Medium frame with athletic look; ran 60 yard dash in 7.76 seconds. Hits from even and spread stance, long stride into swing with front hip flying open, lots of pre-launch hand movement in varied directions, hands work on downhill path, tends to work off soft front side, flashed power into gaps, has strength off the barrel when square. Worked out behind the plate, limited ground gained out front, flashes quickness to feet in hip swivel, throws flat-footed, short arm stroke with near-ear release, clocked up to 71 mph on throws. Also pitched, big leg kick to initiate, lengthy arm stroke with 3/4 slot release, fastball worked 81-83 mph with good control of the pitch, slurvy breaker with solid sweep, also showed ability to drop slot for a different look. Named to 2023 Midwest Indoor Top Prospect List.
