Nolan Johnson is a 2024 C/1B with a 6-5 193 lb. frame from Thousand Oaks, CA who attends Westlake. Big and tall long levered athletic build, lots of physical projection ahead. Primary catcher on defense, tall for the position but does a nice job of getting low and staying compact, has quick lower half actions, has been well coached and has strong fundamentals, get rid of the ball quickly, some tail and fade on his throws. Righthanded hitter, hits from an open bent knee stance with a high hand load, gets to his front side aggressively, stays short and quick to the ball, swings hard and works to the middle of the field, gets some carry when squared up. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Miami.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
