Garrett Blacklock is a 2025 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Grissom. Lengthier frame with present size, room to get stronger and improve metrics across the board. Ran a 7.71 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, hands work out front with clean funnels, limited lateral mobility but made the plays, accurate arm across, clean and fundamental round, has a good fundamental base here with a sound feel for the leather. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full delivery, side step to short leg lift, full arm action in the back to a higher three-quarters slot release point, good feel for the changeup and kills about 500 RPM on it, slurvy curveball flashed as well. Took reps at first, size plays better here with similar feel for the spot, good hands and arm across. Right-handed hitter, high hands seperate to high back elbow slot, leaned back stance with a short stride, linear path through the zone, controls the barrel and uses a middle of the field approach, collected a solid knock in game too. Corner infield prospect with some ability to handle the stick, has time to add strength and fill out the longer frame. Named to the 2023 National Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
