2023 High School All State Select Championship (2024-2025 Grads)
Mason Kinchen is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with an extended 3/4's arm stroke, has a loose arm with good arm speed, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, has been up to 88 mph earlier this summer at PG events, throws his fastball for strikes and commands the glove side corner well. Showed a sweeping slider that got inside to right handed hitters well. Tipped his change up by dropping his release slot but gets nice ground ball inducing life on the pitch. Will throw any pitch at any count and pitch backwards at times. Advanced young arm with a chance to continue to improve. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
