Nate Toomey is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Manchester, PA who attends Northeastern. Large frame with present strength in build. Ran a 7.71 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into medium leg lift. Stays tall on the backside with a short arm circle in the back into a three-quarter slot. Fastball gets on hitters with downhill plane to the plate at 79 miles per hour. Mixed arsenal well with sharp slider being best secondary option. Mixed in a 12-to-6 curveball working to set up a hard fastball. Also flashed a changeup in the low 70's. Worked out defensively as a secondary third baseman. Works through a funnel out front and long exchanges in back. Developing accuracy across the field with some carry at 79 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with slightly open stance. Long path to contact with a level swing plane to the ball. Will create some jump off the barrel incorporating strength well. Very good student as well.
