Ethan Firestein is a 2022 RHP/UT with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Hollywood, FL who attends David Posnack Day School. Athletic frame with a higher waist and lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a compact and smooth wind up. Over the head glove pump with a high leg lift past the belt. Some hip coil at the balance point with a longer arm swing and gets fairly deep. Cuts the fastball in terms of life with recorded velocity up to 84 mph. Maintains the arm speed on the slider and is sharp when out in front. Flashed a change up with some sink that he landed for strikes later in the outing. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a balanced stance, a high hand set, and a high back elbow. Swings downhill and creates backspin at the point of contact. Swings hard and shows bat speed with power projection. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
