Dylan McVeigh is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Thomas Jefferson. Medium frame with a slender and athletic build and room to add. Ran a 7.69 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Works to and through the ball with athletic footwork. Fields out in front with a funnel in. Shows range when working in either direction. Still developing arm strength staying accurate across topping out at 75 MPH. Lefthanded hitter with an even stance and a leg lift trigger for timing. Linear actions into contact with a rotational finish. Quick hands through the zone on a line drive plane. Works gap to gap well with a line drive approach. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a leg lift to the belt. Stiff action in the back into a three-quarter slot. Works the fastball in and out of the zone well at 74 MPH. Went to the curveball late in counts with a 10-to-4 shape and short depth. Good student as well.
