2021 Florida Top Prospect Games
Gabriel J Cruz is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Christopher Columbus. Recorded a 6.86 60-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame. Starts delivery with a leg lift to the core. Utilizes a longer arm action through the back with good arm speed and some effort at release. Overall operation is really athletic. Ball comes out of the hand really well. Fastball showed late life and was up to 87 mph. Slider is a real out-pitch and consistently garnered swing-and-miss with tightness and bite. Also mixed in a changeup with good sink to it. The athleticism really shows on the mound. Has excellent stuff present and still projects really well. Tremendous student. Named to the Florida Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
