2021 NorCal Workout Camp (Saturday)
Blake Schaaf is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Oakland, CA who attends Head Royce. Medium and athletic look with a good frame to hold strength as he matures. Ran a 7.19 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, good first step with some lateral range. Hands work and does a good job working the feet, can throw off balance with accuracy as well. A left-handed hitter, starts even and open with the base with a higher hand set and a leg lift trigger. Turns the barrel on the back and uses a vertical bat through the zone to create length and lift. The base works well. Very good student.
