2022 Sophomore National Showcase (2025 Grads)
Tyler Baird is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-4 165 lb. frame from Cornelius, NC who attends William Amos Hough. Long and slender athletic build, long limbs, extremely projectable physically. Quick and compact delivery with a full and clean arm stroke in back, gets good extension out front, repeats very well for a young and tall pitcher. Fastball worked consistently in the upper 80's, has angle when down and lots of carry up in the zone, make have mixed in an occasional two-seamer with some fading action. Drops his arm slot a bit on a mid-70's curveball with some 11/5 shape, also developing a change up. Threw strikes with good feel. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Big upside as he gets stronger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
