Slight drop and drive delivery gets down the mound well. Good lower half involvement. Uses a short, compact arm with plenty of arm speed throughout. Hides the ball well. Quick tempo delivery with moderate effort used. Repeats it well. The fastball sat 81-83 mph with sinking life. Comes out of hand well. Tunneled it well with a changeup in the mid-70’s with fading action. Maintains arm speed to create deception. Shows confidence in the offering. Threw two types of breaking balls. The slider sat 72-75 mph with sweeping action. Tough pitch on left-handed hitters. Showed swing and miss ability. Mostly threw the low-70’s curveball to right-handed hitters. Offering features 1-7 action with a fair amount of bite. Command all four pitches well. Has a good feel for pitching with room to get even better. Arm strength plays from the outfield as well. Produces strong carry on fairly accurate throws. Occasionally generates tailing action on throws. Short arm action allows for it to come out clean. Threw 90 mph during workouts. Caught the ball consistently. Still refining fielding actions. Left-handed hitters. Utilizes an open stance with a low hand setup. Slightly rotates into load. Displayed a pullside approach. Gets on plane early. Has the ability to lift the ball. Flashed solid power due to bat path and strength within frame. Developing more bat speed through the zone will allow it to play more regularly. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
