Tristan Roney is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-7 235 lb. frame from Clayton, NC who attends Clayton. Recorded a 7.85 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher moves from the stretch only and goes into a mid-chest leg lift as he drops the back side while riding it down the slope out of a three-quarter arm slot. He shows a good release point with late life on his fastball topping 86 mph, but first showcased a good changeup with fading action and great arm speed. Also taking groundballs in the infield exhibiting good arm strength and accurately throwing 87 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with good back side load, swings with great bat speed, and impacts the ball with good force as he shows great barrel control while lifting the ball and working gap-to-gap. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
