JD Dohrmann is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Wildwood, MO who attends St. John Vianney. Medium size athletic frame. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a modified side saddle set up, showed quick and efficient footwork, clean but longer transition to throw and above average arm strength with throws consistently on the bag. Showed developing corner infield and corner outfield tools in defensive workouts with well above average arm strength at both spots. Hit from a wider base with load stride timing at the plate, casts the hands some but has quickness in his hands and a level bat path through the zone. Showed barrel control covering the strike zone and a blend of strength and quickness in his swing to impact the baseball to all fields. Was up to 84 on the mound out of a high three-quarter slot. Creates some vertical tilt in his delivery and locates the fastball well north to south. Spun his curveball well which had consistent 11-5 shape and spin efficiency with spin rates consistently above 2300 RPM. Showed feel to pitch changing eye levels of hitters and generating a lot of swing and miss while throwing a lot of strikes. Promising two-way player. Named to Sunshine Midwest Top Prospect List. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
