Sam Bettis is a 2025 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-7 235 lb. frame from Topeka, KS who attends P27 Academy. Extra large frame and build who is physical and a good mover for his size. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Small rocker step into a leg lift above the belt. Repeats delivery well and did a nice job at throwing strikes. Located the fastball effectively to both sides of the plate and topped out at 94 mph. Showed two different breaking balls with a low-80s sweeper and a slurvier braking ball in the upper-70s. The sweeper was flat with up to 16" of horizontal break to it. The fastball was well located and could be moved around both east and west. Held velocity throughout the outing and was very tough to square up. Worked quickly and efficiently. Tremendous student. Verbal commitment to Kansas State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
