Nicholas Rodriguez is a 2024 C/IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Sunset Senior. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.53 seconds. Hits from narrow stance with high hands and back elbow, leg lift trigger, loose swing with loft to stroke and quality bat speed, occasionally overextends, repeatedly hit the ball very hard, registered 104 mph exit velocity in BP, chance for huge power long term. Primary catcher, good from one knee, quick out of crouch with quick release, solid arm strength clocked up to 77 mph. Also took infield reps, showed off the arm, clocked up to 88 mph across the diamond. Very good student, named to 2022 Main Event Top Prospect List, committed to South Florida.
