LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2021 Jr. National Showcase
Josh Fernald is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 6-2 183 lb. frame from Live Oak, FL who attends Suwannee HS. Recorded a 6.92 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with a lean build and room to fill out and add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a simple turn step into a leg lift at the belt. Easy delivery with a very short and compact arm stroke. Comes out well with some arm side life and shows three pitches he can throw for strikes. Topped out at 88 mph and maintained velocity for the duration of the outing. Changeup shows very good life and the bottom fell out at times. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with good spin and projects well. Solid three pitch mix and competes within the zone. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the infield. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a longer bat path. Balanced stance with a compact swing path. Line drive approach to the middle and opposite fields. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
