Ben Schulman is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Chappaqua, NY who attends Horace Greeley. Recorded a 8.78 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame and lean build, body projects well moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher with a full wind up and belt high leg lift. Shows a full arm circle and comes from an over the top slot, arm shows good speed and strength, will improve as he cleans up the arm action and smooths it out. Falls off towards the first base side and works ahead of his arm at times, really sinks into the lower half and utilizes drop and drive mechanics. Flashed a solid breaking ball and held his velocity the entire outing, threw to all parts of the zone and shows intriguing potential moving forward. Secondary third baseman with a long gather and release, fields it well and has smooth transitions. Showed the ability to make plays on the move, looked good on the charge. Still developing his range and footwork but has athletic actions that project well. Left-handed hitter with a wide and open stance and a high hand and back elbow set. Deep hand set with a wrapped load, has a short path to the ball and gets his front foot down early. Impacts the ball well and creates leverage when on time and squared, will pull off at times, reaches extension out front when he stays through it. Named to the 2021 13U/14U Sunshine Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
