Sims Godwin is a 2022 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Dacula, GA who attends Archer. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Showed nice footwork in the middle infield on defense and has quick and light feet, works behind the ball and low to the ground, puts himself in good position to field cleanly out front, has good arm strength and carry for a primary second baseman. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight bent knee stance with a low hand start, showed quick hands and an aggressive swing approach that created some bat speed, works the middle of the field and flashed some power due to his approach, will keep improving as a hitter with additional strength. Also pitched, high takeaway in back with a short strike out front, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with good arm side running life. Has confidence in his curveball and threw it often and for strikes with good depth and some bite. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
