Zane Adams is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Porter, TX who attends Porter. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Fast paced multi-part delivery, maximum high leg raise from a big side step start, lots going on but repeats it well, creates deception, shorter stride out front with a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot. Fastball topped out at 94 mph, creates big downhill angle on his fastball, has some heaviness down in the zone, works to his arm side most comfortably with the fastball, maintained his velocity well. Change up showed good feel and lots of deception. Curveball was a solid pitch with good spin and big downer shape. Used both off-speed pitches aggressively against right handed hitters and threw strikes with them. Three solid present pitches with some projection remaining physically. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Alabama. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
