2022 New York Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Logan Bennett is a 2023 RHP/3B/MIF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Forest Hills, NY who attends Cardozo. Long and lean young pitcher's build, lots of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch, gets nice hip turn and into his lower half well, compact 3/4's arm slot, gets over his front side well and did a nice job of repeating his mechanics and release point. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 76 mph, adds and subtracts from his fastball and melds it with his change up down into upper 60's with intent, gets some running life at times, lots of strikes with his fastball and works ahead in counts. Change up plays well off his fastball. Also threw a big breaking mid 60's curveball. Has an idea how to pitch and is a strike thrower, key to his development will simply be getting stronger. Right handed hitter, has some hitting tools to develop, gets really nice separation and extension through the ball, line drive swing plane with a good feel for the barrel, squared up lots of gap to gap line drives. Worked out in the infield, has good fundamentals and positions his glove well, plays on his toes and has some athleticism.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
