Dominick Scalese is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Peachtree Corners, GA who attends Wesleyan HS. Recorded a 7.09 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with long limbs, wiry strength, and room to fill out. Primary shortstop who fields out in front and has a shorter arm action. Higher arm slot with good footwork and one hop accuracy. Comes out of the hand clean and arm strength plays from both the infield and outfield with throws recorded up to 87 mph into the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a quick arm and some effort at release. Athletic operation with fluidity throughout motion. Comes out clean and showed a softer 11/5 curveball he can land for strikes. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Some lift at the point of contact and creates jump off the barrel when squared. Gets the bat head out in front of the plate nicely. Shows power to the pull side and looks good when his hands get extended. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
