Jacob Fields is a 2023 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends East Cobb Baseball Academy. Medium frame with a physically mature build showing a very sturdy lower half. Ran a 6.65 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, good first step actions taking efficient routes into the baseball. Clean gather to the side carrying momentum into the release. Full arm swing and released from a high slot getting easy carry on throws. Accurate to the bag with throws up to 89 mph. Fundamentally sound and has the tools to play any position in the outfield. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, side-steps into a higher leg lift. Drives off the back side with a full arm swing in the back and then released from a high three-quarter slot. Fastball jumping out of hand up to 87 mph with spin rates consistently over 2,000 rpm. Feel to spin as well. Sharp 11-to-5 breaking ball in the low-70's with spin rates up to 2,604 rpm. Confident with both pitches and projects on the mound going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting in a wide stance while sitting down in the legs. Simple, short load as he transfers the weight off the backside and looks to go after it. Easy power in the swing as he got the bat head out early and looked to drive it to the pull-side. Strength plays in a big was punishing baseballs. Doubled into left-center in games. Projectable power as well. Great Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
