Yannis Rembert is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher, leg lift up to belt, slight gather over the rubber with some drive through lower half, some effort to operation but does a nice job of working down the mound; clean take back with present arm speed coming through the backside. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, ball comes out of hand well, shows short running life to the arm side, occasionally gets mistimed with release point. Sells the changeup well with maintained arm speed up to 77 mph; tends to slow operation on release of curveball, best ones came when staying through the ball with intent at release. Confident on the mound and in his pitches. Right-handed hitter, begins with a balance and in line stance at the plate, big weight shift moving forward into contact and gets to front side early. Has present bat speed through the zone that stands out, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, ball jumps when squared up and on time off of the barrel, will unlock additional power with refined lower half mechanics. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
