Austin Havekost is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Seville, OH who attends Medina HS. Big thick build, very good present strength. Full high arm circle, extended 3/4's arm slot, hard front side and spins off hard to first base side, will need to make adjustments to direction, recoils after release. Fastball topped at 89 mph, lots of velocity variance from wind up to stretch, gets big sink and run on his fastball at times. Also lots of variance on breaking ball, hard breaking ball at 73-74 mph much better with hard spin and occasional depth. Tends to slow arm on change up. Was up to 93 mph in October of 2012, has the arm strength to regain that velocity with adjustments to his delivery. Verbal commitment to Kent State.
