Alan Trejo is a 2014 RHP/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Downey, CA who attends Cathedral HS. Medium young athletic build, room to get stronger. Loose arm, throws easy, 3/4's to mid 3/4's release, repeats his delivery and pitches to spots. Fastball topped at 82 mph, more velocity in there, curveball flashes good spin and depth and can be thrown to spots. Change up is hard knuckleball, hides it well, hard split-like action, can be nasty at times, used as his strikeout pitch, pretty unique pitch at this level. Good actions at third base, long loose arm action, smooth at the ball, gets feet in good position, potential to improve. Right handed hitter, open/spread stance, swings hard, good swing plane, mid to opposite field line drive contact, squares up well. Should continue to improve.
