2025 PG New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Landon Vangaasbeck is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-2 208 lb. frame from Hurley, NY who attends Kingston High School. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a toe tap trigger, has a short swing for his size and stays inside the ball well, shows strength at contact and gets some jump off the barrel, projects well as a hitter. Primary outfielder on defense, moves well to the ball and has some idea on his footwork, deeper arm action with an extended 3/4's arm slot, very good arm strength and carry, repeated his actions well. Also pitched and has two-way potential. Throws from a similar extended 3/4's arm slot, gets down the mound well with nice extension out front on release. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with running life and some feel for the strike zone. Hard curveball was a good pitch with arm speed and 11/5 shape and depth, has swing/miss potential with the curveball. Good student. Named to the PG New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
