Marcello Quezada is a 2026 OF with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Frenship. Features a medium-sized athletic build with room to add. Ran a 7.10 60-yd dash. In the OF showed under control actions during his defensive workout. Slower initial process but keeps his feet moving through with a clean out front reception. Extra shuffle and avg. quickness to transfer before working into throws. Showed a longer arm action that got off higher arcing accurate throws to the bag. Made a couple of very difficult plays out in CF during gameplay where he showed good instincts and some closing speed on FBs. At the plate, sits in an even base and uses a heal lift trigger with no negative move and where he gets noticeably onto his frontside. Smaller takeback of the hands that get the barrel into a more upright launch. Barrel works on a more linear path but with inconsistent barrel feel and timing during BP. Avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Ended up getting off better swings during gameplay where he produced a couple of hard LDs through the middle of the field. Named to the Top Prospects List.
