PERFECT GAME ANNOUNCES SELECT FEST ID CAMPS
Sanford, Florida (Friday, April 11, 2025) -
Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced its latest initiative to assist youth baseball players called Select Fest ID Camps. This innovative program is a two-day baseball experience for players aged 9-12 designed to revolutionize the identification process for players seeking spots in the prestigious Perfect Game Select Festivals.
The Select Fest ID Camps combine comprehensive athletic skills testing with live simulated games, offering participants an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their talents and create memories that will last a lifetime. Each camp participant will not only receive consideration for the Select Festivals but will also enjoy a unique baseball experience tailored to highlight their skills in competitive, game-like settings.
Key Features of Select Fest ID Camps:
- Athletic Skills Testing and Evaluation: Players will participate in detailed athletic skills testing, enabling them to display their abilities and receive expert feedback.
- Simulated Games: Athletes will compete in 7-9 inning simulated games, giving pitchers the chance to face hitters and position players the opportunity to excel in game-like scenarios.
- National Leaderboards and Watch Lists: Participants can track their progression and see how they stack up against peers across the nation. These tools provide valuable insight into their development throughout their Perfect Game journey.
Select Fest ID Camps are a crucial addition to the Perfect Game identification process, with final selections for the Select Festivals being made after the conclusion of the Perfect Game Invitational (PGI) for each age group. The initiative further integrates with Perfect Game’s high-level tournaments, such as the Super Regional NITs, the National World Series in Atlanta, and the PGI National Championship held in Southaven, Miss., where standout performances will also be considered for festival invitations.
“The Select Fest ID Camps represent an exciting evolution in our efforts to discover young baseball talent,” said John McAdams, Perfect Game’s Northeast Scouting Director. “We’re providing players with not only a chance to achieve their goals of reaching the Select Festivals but also an unforgettable experience to develop their skills and measure themselves against the best in the country.”
Perfect Game invites all eligible players to participate in this groundbreaking program. With the combination of cutting-edge skills testing, competitive gameplay and a clear pathway to the Select Festivals, Select Fest ID Camps are set to become an essential part of the journey for aspiring baseball stars.
